Lerwick IPA won bronze at the Scottish Beer Awards 2024!!

Lerwick Brewery has won a bronze award for Lerwick IPA in the Best British Style Ale category at the Scottish Beer Awards 2024.

Over 300 Scottish beers were meticulously blind-tasted by a panel of experts at an all-day judging event. The beers were evaluated on a range of criteria, including appearance, aroma, and, most importantly, taste.

Jonny Sandison, Head Brewer, said “There were lots of fantastic breweries taking part in the awards and the competition was extremely high so we are delighted that Lerwick IPA has won bronze in the Best British Style Ale category”.

Lerwick IPA is a traditional malty English IPA brewed with New World hops. It is packed with ripe fruit flavours from Azacca, Amarillo and Nelson Sauvin hops making this IPA both flavourful and complex, whilst super drinkable. It pairs excellently with curries or slow-cooked meats.
